Research Program for Haploidentical BMT | Feeling grateful | Dr. Suparno Chakraborti

Congratulations to Dr. Sarita Jaiswal and our entire team for this effort. And also Dr. Sushmita Chakraborty for her support in setting up the experiments.
I would like to dedicate this work to Dr. Jeffrey Miller, who pioneered the exploration of adaptive NK cells in BMT. As a group of researchers, our resources are limited but ideas and dreams are there to break the barriers. I think it’s a very gratifying moment in my professional life. To be able to leave all the grace and glory behind and to set up a simultaneous clinical and research program for Haploidentical BMT in some small corner of the country! And yet support such fabulous work by Dr.Sarita Jaiswal and the team is like a dream come true. Could not have asked for more. When I am asked again and again as to why I don’t do my work in the USA or UK- there’s my answer.
